Mirage
Mirage is a reinterpretation of a product of memory. Recalling the art of the master mosaicists, a decorative composition of tesserae, skilfully cut and recomposed, creates a delicate graphic sequence. There is no identical basic module, but small rectangular elements of different types of marble and natural stone. An interplay of alike lengths and different depths creates a dense geometric rhythm on the surface. The result is made up of multiple lines, emanating a light alternation of ever-changing nuances. This meticulous colour progression – featuring different shades of ivory, cream and beige, with accents of darker colours – defines the elegant flooring movement: the eye loses itself between the almost imperceptible borders of one tile to the next. Selected and laid by hand, these tesserae follow a reiterated still unique pattern, thanks to the different veining and properties of each piece. Mirage and its never-repeated continuous motif define a stone masterpiece of evolving tradition into contemporary design.
