Gaulino

Originally designed in 1987, the Gaulino inevitably caught international attention. Now, an entire family is moulded from this model. It’s no surprise. It is an icon of the modern 20th century. A delectable wooden frame with leather stretched by hand into the contemporary. Inspired by Antonio Gaudi and Carlo Mollino, Tusquets’ seat spreads fluidly across its contoured wooden frame. The slender tapered legs reach out of the chair like a clawed hand. It was his first chair designed in wood. Made from ash and handupholstered in rich leather, the chair has an artisanal and aesthetic intensity while remaining light, practical, and stackable.
