ZANOTTA CAVOUR CM
Carlo Mollino-architect, photographer, avid skier, likely occultist and bonafide iconoclast-also happened to design arresting furniture. To honor the legacy of one of the 20th century most fascinating talents, lauded Italian design brand Zanotta has released the Mollino Collection 2020, a bold tribute of eight pieces faithfully brought to life in association with Turin Polytechnic, where Mollino was a professor. “Mollino’s designs have remained a continual part of our collection since 1980, this new CM Collection is not so much a rapprochement, but rather a rediscovery,” says Giuliano Mosconi, CEO of Zanotta. The Cavour CM desk, shown in black varnished oak with smoky gray glass top, was created in 1949 and defied expectations, just like it does now.
